Snaefellsnes Peninsula is arguably one of the best places in Iceland for Nature and Wildlife watching during summer. On this tour you can expect to see a great variety of bird species, including Harlequin Duck, Atlantic Puffin, Thick-billed Murre, Arctic Tern and White-tailed Eagle.

This tour leaves from the city of Reykjavik so it's another great fit to the beginning or end of one our longer tours for those interested in birds and wildlife.
The area features extraordinary moorland, meadows, marshland, rivers, streams, and small ponds along beautiful rock formations, and sand beaches. The major landmark is Snæfellsjokull glacier which is renowned for its mystical powers and has captured the imagination of people all over the world, ever since Jules Verne wrote “The Journey to the Centre of the Earth” in 1871.

By keeping the group size small the guides are able to keep the itinerary flexible, depending on client’s requests and preferences, weather and time of year.

Price is $223 per person.
Included: Transportation, hotel pick-up,and expert English speaking guide.
Departures: From Reykjavik every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 09:00 am from April through July. Duration: Approx. 10-12 hours
